Ecchu Fundoshi, traditional Japanese loin cloth, tailored from undyed organic cotton & hemp.

Out of stock

Sorazora is pleased to bring you our unisex fundoshi. Traditionally made from linen or cotton, our fundoshi are tailored from a blend of organic cotton and hemp. The twill fabric is hand woven on a traditional loom in Nepal, and provides a gentle touch to skin. The length is about 20cm shorter than our previous stock. If you require a longer one, please inquire.

The strings are tied around the waist with the cloth hanging at the back, the cloth is then pulled between the legs and up through the belt, letting the end of the fabric hang at the front like an apron. Each fundoshi comes with simple wearing instructions printed on the packaging.

Ecchu Fundoshi have been a traditional Japanese form of underwear for centuries. Of the many types of Fundoshi, Ecchu is a length of cloth with a strip of material at the waist to tie as a fastening.

For washing, please follow the Care Instructions on our GUIDE.
