These ceramic coffee filters are hand crafted in a family run pottery workshop in Thimi, Â Nepal.
We’ve visited the workshop on several occasions and each time they’ve warmly welcomed us and kindly guided us through all their earthenware processes from mixing clay, forming and glazing through to firing in the kiln.
This filter holder sits on your chosen coffee cup or jug and holds a filter in place, which in turn holds ground coffee beans of your choice. The ceramic filter sits comfortably on all cups with openings of an internal diameter between 7 – 9cm for the small size and 7 -10 cm for large size. Separate reusable hemp filters in sizes #2 and #4 are also available HERE in-store for those wishing to make the switch from disposable paper filters.
As these ceramic coffee filters are all handmade, there may be slight variations within the glaze and detail.
