Naal binding is a literal translation of the Danish for 'binding with a needle' and is a craft that predates both crochet and knitting.
Our set of three needles has been hand crafted from a Nepalese hardwood called 'Saz', a large sub-tropical Himalayan tree found up to altitudes of 1200m.
The largest needle measures 9.5cm in length and 6cm for the two smaller needles, one of which has a slight curve. Apart from Nall binding, these strong versatile needles can be used to add detail to knitted, crochetted or loosely woven garments.
Due to the raw material's texture and the handmade nature of these tools, some variation in tone and texture may occour.
